Our story begins in 1921, when Overhead Door Corporation’s founder, C. G. Johnson, invented the upward-lifting garage door. In 1926, he followed this with the electric garage door opener. For over 100 years, the Overhead Door brand has stood for product quality, expertise, and professional service.

The Overhead Door Company of Tulsa’s™ story begins in 1966 when Frank Sanders, Sr., took over operations in Tulsa. Frank had worked for an Overhead Door Company™ factory in Oklahoma City and then opened his own dealership in Ada, OK. This business was so successful that Overhead Door Company™ corporate asked him to take over the Tulsa branch.
Since then, the Overhead Door Company of Tulsa™ has remained a locally- and family-owned business. Today, the business is owned by Frank’s son, Frank, Jr.
